Sarah has been working in theatre, film and television both in the UK and internationally for over 30 years. Sarah originally studied Criminology at Cambridge University then moved into acting whilst living in Nairobi in Kenya. On return to the UK, she trained at Guildford School of Acting (GSA).
After some time as an actress Sarah went on to study with iconic producers, Tony Garnett (The Wednesday Play, Kes, Ballykisangel) and Barry Hanson (The Long Good Friday) as well as Susannah Capon (Head of Script, BBC) for her MA in Producing Film & Television, from London University. She joined Talkback Thames Television and Channel 5’s Family Affairs briefly as a storyliner, then as a script editor.
Sarah has worked with numerous writers developing scripts for both screen and theatre. Her own writing including, Sadie and the Faded Ladies (which she also directed) was runner-up for best Cabaret at the Brighton Fringe Festival. Other directing credits include Four by Tenn (four short plays by Tennessee Williams), Original Spin (Criterion/New End Theatre) Her play Blessings was produced at Riverside Studios for its World Premiere in 2025, Starring Gary Webster, Emily Lane, Hannah Traylen, Anna Acton, Freddie Webster and Milly Roberts. Sarah is currently working on the TV adaptation of Blessings and a new 6 part television drama - Scorned.
